Our Commitment to Your Privacy

Dr. Decontee Jimmeh, M.D. and NimbleNeuro are committed to protecting the privacy of your health information. We are required by law to maintain the privacy of protected health information (PHI), provide you with notice of our legal duties and privacy practices, and follow the terms of the notice currently in effect.

How We Use and Disclose Health Information

  • Treatment: We may use your health information to provide, coordinate, or manage your healthcare and related services.
  • Payment: We may use or disclose health information to bill and receive payment for services provided to you.
  • Healthcare Operations: We may use or disclose health information for activities necessary to run our practice and ensure quality care.

Platform-Specific Privacy Practices

  • No medical records stored on platform: NimbleNeuro does not store clinical notes, diagnoses, or treatment records. The platform is a scheduling and video delivery tool only.
  • SMS reminders: Text message reminders contain no clinical or medical information — only appointment date, time, and a meeting link.
  • Video consultations: Conducted via Google Meet, which operates under a Business Associate Agreement (BAA) with Google Workspace.
  • Payment data: Processed by Stripe. Payment information does not constitute PHI and is handled under Stripe's PCI-compliant systems.

Your Rights

  • Right to inspect and copy your health information
  • Right to request amendments to your health information
  • Right to an accounting of disclosures of your health information
  • Right to request restrictions on certain uses and disclosures
  • Right to request confidential communications
  • Right to a paper copy of this notice upon request

Business Associates

We have Business Associate Agreements in place with the following vendors who may handle PHI on our behalf:

  • Google Workspace (calendar and video conferencing)
  • Twilio (SMS communications)

Complaints

If you believe your privacy rights have been violated, you may file a complaint with us or with the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services Office for Civil Rights. You will not be penalized for filing a complaint.
